The gums form the framework for the teeth and play a big role in the appearance of your smile. The relationship of one gumline to another in the front of the mouth when correct, creates a pleasing smile, but when not correct, detracts from the smile. In many cases it is necessary and possible to move one gumline up and one gumline down to get the relationships right and create a beautiful framework for the smile. We can do this using a combination of gingivectomy, crown lengthening and root coverage gum grafting.
